Trade: 1" Carbon Fork

Posted on
  • Bought Snoops Pesenti Carbon fork having fooled myself into thinking the steerer was long enough for my Fort... alas this is not to be so if anyone out there has a similar fork they had been planning to cut or haven't gotten around to cutting yet I'd be game for a swap, it's in absolutely mint condition and I'm not bothered selling it as I'll probably use it for something in the future anyway but just thought I'd put it out there in case someone had one...

Steerer length is 175mm and they're drilled for a brake...

  • Anyone?

  • I have these...

But am looking for a drilled 1" steel fork.
    Or cash.

  • Have 1" drilled steel fork, will post later

  • Got two carbon and a steel fork that I could swap, but can't put any pictures up till tomorrow night. Have got:

    1. A used profile straight bladed carbon fork with aluminium steerer cut down to 20cm.

    2. An unused, uncut, full carbon Mizuno curved fork I bought from Roberto, problem with this one is that it's for a 1" integrated frame, so has a really wide crown. I managed to track down a 1" headset with flared cups, so it all fits together, but does look a bit strange. Was going to use reducing rings to fit it to the Wrongster WAC bike, but would be happy to swap it if you can make better use of it.

    3. A NOS uncut and undrilled, straight bladed Fort track fork.

Let me know if any of those sound tempting. I've got another Fort track fork I'm going to get drilled for another bike, if you wanted the NOS Fort fork, but drilled, I'd be happy to get it drilled at the same time as the other one :)

That profile fork sounds sweet, I'll definitely have a peep when you get a pic up!!

  • Damn you polybikeuser

Nahguavkire - if you want to sell the drilled steel give me a PM.

Edit : Sorry, the fort will be the steel one? Whoops, sorry.

  • Jol- it's the fork in this pic but I have since cut it down a bit and removed the paint finish so it's now just a clearcoat (looks quite cool, grey/steel tange tubing and brass brazing visible) I'll measure it when I get home and PM you then

  • howdy, sorry for the thread hijack, I'm looking for some straight bladed, preferably drilled, preferably carbon, 1 inch forks also, seems to be nothing on the bay, anyone got anything that might suit?...

  • Damn you polybikeuser

Er, sorry, didn't mean any harm, just thought Nahguavkire might want a fork without mudguard eyelets and choice is always a good thing, didn't mean to push you aside. Do you need a threaded or threadless fork? I've got a couple of threaded steel forks I could offer you.

Nahguavkire, I'll pm you some pictures tonight, tomorrow morning at the latest.

  • Ha sorry, should have ;) 'd.
    Just kidding.

Nahguavkire - If you have a better pic and price that'd be cool.

Poly - Got any pics of the steel?

  • Jol- what are you after in £'s for the mudguard eyed forks please? I know just the bike for them....

  • Working on the pics Jol, forgot my camera cable in the office, I'll have it up for you in the morning ;)

  • Yoink, found my cable :D Give us a minute

  • Steerer is approximately 240mm

  • Bump

So Polybikeuser and I were going to do a swap but unfortunately due to the incompetency of the postal service his forks went missing in the post before I got them over to me :(

Anyone out there with a 1" Carbon Fork they want to trade for?? Alternatively if someone wants ot buy my one and someone else wants to sell me their one that would be rockin'

    Cheers folks

  • I could be interested in buying your fork, haven't got one for you though and not sure the steerer would be long enough but will check
