Last year I lived in university halls and now I live in a shared house and I found that most insurers aren't interested in providing contents cover because it's fairly high risk. Endsleigh cover my contents but LCC insurance I use for my bike - Endsleigh aren't really interested unless you have a single receipt for your whole bike, ideally from Halfords.... which is useless for a lot of us.
