Warning, don't use graphite ski poles for mallet handles:
That was after 4 games.

Anyone know anywhere else to get ski poles besides gaybay? it's getting raped at the moment by all of the pretty folk with their ski holidays booked.

snow+rock have some cheapish junior ones. I got a pair of 100cm Scott ones for £14 from their store. I couldn't be arsed to wait for a decent ebay deal. Especially when you have to pay £5+ postage.

when i was building my rack i was looking at these, as i wanted 4130 (Chromoly tubing) to use, but these just said "chrome", what do you reckon they are?
-
• #96
chrome plated mild steel
-
• #97
theyre rolled and weld tubing...and really fucking hard to drill through... personally i think theyre alot stronger than the ski poles. But with the strength comes weight unfortunalty. i weighted my ski pole mallet about 230g this one comes in at 310g. not too bad but i think you could shed some with more drilling/melting in the head.
-
• #98
i thought as much.. where can i get the 4130 action!?????? i used solid steel rods and its fucking heavy
-
• #99
i looked into this place a while back its on dalston juction its a metal tube supplier.
i'll rummage for the linky.

i tried to find them, behind the leyland, but i think they're gone.. i use a place on hackney road but its all mild steel
Cool, Bill - i'll pick them up asap.
Anna, the ones Bill got before were all irons which are (pretty much) a standard size. I got one from him and have played it since then and love it, but always found it just a little too short. Woods for the win!
