Wierd, I've never met you but I thought I spotted you riding down the pavement west along Bethnal Green road just after BLB, yesterday. Either that or someone else has got one of those really nice front racks just like yours.
oh yes, on the 4th you mean? I was with my girlfriend, I was cycling down till I can get off to the road safety when there's not much cars since my girlfriend is still getting used to the new bike.

ahh I'm still freezing in this flat whose central heating is worse than Heather Mills with PSM and no leg.

If you were with Heather Mills you could make a fire with one of her legs to keep warm.

Yep, Sunday evening just at dusk, your girlf had the bike with the rack on. So... your girlfriend's got a nice rack! I would've shouted 'Do A Skid!' but I was in a car at the time.

I was in an FW Evans the other day (not by choice) and got grumped at for taking my bike in - to a bike shop! I define a good bike shop as one where they notice how fucken awesome my bike is (Cavendish, Putney Cycles, Velorution) and compliment me on it, and a bad shop as one where they just think it's some old steel thing with no gears.

I had to do pickups (doughnuts etc) in Harrods quite often when I was a courier and never had a problem getting in.....
Why anyone would shop at Harrods is beyond me, most of what they sell is available elsewhere (maybe not all in the same place though) at cheaper prices, last time I went, the fish display was not as good as it used to be and smelt bad, plus they had wild mushrooms for sale at £25 / k which I had just been picking in Hyde Park.....

sounds to me like you should set up your own shop Winston!

the fish display was not as good as it used to be and smelt bad
Those were the days - I used to travel two hundred miles just to see the Harrods fish display. It was the talk of the town when I came back - 'tell us about the fish display mooks' they used to say. We even used to have an event to celebrate it - 'Fish-Fest' - where we'd dress the one-legged cyclists up in fish suits and arrange them in displays, as was the fashion at the time.
Now it's just a kipper and a slice of smoked salmon - the rotters...

Back in the early 1970s, I used to have to get my school uniform from Harrods. Those were the days before the phoney pharoe when a simpler sort of crook (Eric Miller) used to run Fulham FC.

Not this.
Brown cheese, only available in the UK in Harrods food hall.

That's what you think...
it's fucking freezing when you have a flat whose central heating only turn on at a specific time (in my case, 4am to 8.30am, and then 6pm to 12pm), the middle of the day is freezing.
