I've got 28's on my winter fixed.. but only because i had some old C Record hubs i wanted to make use of and nothings happened to them yet. But i've read about a test done on a mountain bike with 28's racing and audaxing over a period of a year, and it survived in tact with no truing required, but they were tied and soldered what ever difference that makes.
