I just converted an old 1970 Falcon, and have the same crank set up, you need the crank puller (for a fiver off ebay), but I haven't actually done that part yet. It was a real bitch to get the cassette off becasue it was buggered the last time it was taken off. With a hammer and punch, and some almighty whacking you can dismantle the cassette on the wheel then unscrew the core in a strong vice preferably. I just made it single speed not fixed, but good luck!
