  • I agree too - only after a goal and kept under 5 mins. But i'm not sure about limiting to one per game. I don't think this rule is necessary. What does everyone else think?

  • ;381914']Yea mate, I guess my posts do generally get taken as de facto but I still consider the league as owned by the players. What I post up is my opinion based on the people who have had discussions with me about a topic. And it is just that, my opinion.

Snide remarks are never positive. Just like pushing and shouting at someone is never positive...

amen! I apologise for my initial reaction to your comment...I'm going to put it down to getting out of the wrong side of the bed.x

I'm still with the opinion that restrictions on timeouts are unnecessary although it seems the majority disagree with me.

  • I think 1 per team per game.

  • i disagree aidan.

  • about the majority.

  • gets coat.

  • i disagree aidan.

my fist is going to have a disagreement with your pretty face.

  • gets coat.

would you like a Pringle before you go?

  • The funny thing about time outs after goals is this: it's not really a time out. If one team has to tap out before the game resumes, they can just not tap out while they fix their issue. If possession goes to the other team, they can just let the ball sit in net until they have resolved their issue.

I'm not saying this is a bad thing, just that time outs after goals is already (sort of) the de facto state of things, and is not really a new rule.

That was my opinion to begin with. We've always managed just fine with out a timeout rule. For tournaments it's always been after a goal is scored.

  • lets not get blamey.

  • It would be nice if we didnt have a set amount of timeouts, one mechanical and one injury can easily happen.

exactly. same as two mechanicals happening.. It would be gutting if Zombie Rob gets a front puncture and they use their only timeout to quickly switch his front wheel with e.g. mine, then after a couple more goals, Yorgo gets a mechanical and needs about 2 minutes to fix, but isn't allowed, the game continues and the unmarked Brendan goes on to score...

  • +1 i think its just good to put it out there so we know...

same goes for falls/crashes...when someone shouts stop (ie the fallen/ref) the game should stop etc. otherwise continue.

  • i'm never unmarked.

  • is there going to be a summer league after this one wraps up?

  • I would expect so.

  • no summer, it will star in february if everything goes within plans. jsut after this one finish

  • what no playoffs, no cup of champions?

  • no bottom of the league prize??

  • Pic of the first league games in paris in the 30s:

  • I see your 1930s and raise you a 1925 picture, complete with disc wheels!

  • And this is Richard Mecredy who invented the game in 1891, apparently
