Woolies always used to let me walk my bike around the shop. Not sure if they condoned it, or if they just thought I was some insane person lost in their store and were too scared to chuck me out.
In Liverpool there's a fucking LBS that won't let you take your bike in. Apparently some kids kept going in and knocking display bikes over because they're far too clumsy. My mate tried taking his bike in to get his back wheel and bottom bracket fixed and the guy there made him take it back out. So my mate locks it up outside, goes back in and tells him the problem, and the guy says he has to bring just the wheel and the BB in. What's the fucking point in going to the shop if you can take the BB out at home? You clearly would have enough skills to do it all yourself.
