the term hipster is a bit of an oxymoron,
originally used to describe ultra cool 'hip' jazzsters, and more recently around year 2000 era to describe those who wore tight jeans & chucks. Basically anyone moderately a bit indie.
But the most recent outing of the word, the one used here means basically the same as 'poseur' a purely derogatory term.
