Certainly makes the unchallenging tracks/fire roads in my area a bit more fun. Absolute waste of time using an MTB. Just needs some tough tires and no stopping you (currently using some 28 Ribmos which are doing well - lighter and more 'rubbery' than Armadillos)
Ideally would need a lower gearing of around 60 as I struggle a bit (a lot) on the uphills pushing a 70 but a 60 is stupid on the road where I ride the most.
