A few of you may already know of this ride being readers of thewashingmachinepost.net.
At 10:00am on the 2nd of August 2009 The Ride of the Falling Rain will be taking place in Islay, Scotland. The ride is a 100 mile ride around the Island starting and finishing in a quain café. There will be a pasta dinner afterwards at 6:30pm where you can chat away about the day.
I'll be travelling from Glasgow and if anyone is wanting a lift/someone to help organise travel and accomodation for them then feel free to contact me. If you're in London I'd advise getting a Saturday train and staying in Glasgow for the night (I can look after bikes and arrange transport to wherever you want to stay. I can maybe even arrange entertainment for the evening)

Saturday 1st August 2009
0900 - Depart Glasgow (car)
1230 - Arrive Kennacraig
1300 - Depart - Kennacraig (ferry)
1505 - Arrive - Port Askaig
Monday 3rd August 2009
0945 - Depart - Port Ellen (ferry) (arrive by 0900)
1205 - Arrive - Kennacraig
1210 - Depart - Kennacraig (car)
1600 - Arrive - Glasgow
