I think it needs to be taken in the context of the previous posts, but it would be more helpful if you were more specific if you gave the reasons why you're asking...
If it's about the offensiveness of the statement, I find the comments of the pope (and many others) to be far more offensive than a person whose judgement I trust, here on the forum.
