Fuck ultra light innertubes

I have pretty green Vittoria Open Pave recently fitted on my bike. Makes me look every bit the aging hipster and so far no more punctures which is very nice indeed thank you very much but they were extraordinarily expensive.
They are great tyres Clive with bags of grip, but they do seem to be prone to cuts. I fitted a pair to my winter bike a couple of years ago and they lasted me about 3 months before I had to replace them. :-(
