• Not trying to steal your thunder Skully, but VeLLo also has done a chop job on his own Brooks, that is very impressive. I'm hoping he might post a pic.
Still, when I buy a Brooks, I'm going to have you chop mine, as you are The Man.
    :)

    Hi guys...

Well I did "butchered" one of my Brooks saddle a while ago. I had heard about that kind of surgery, and wanted to give it a go on a B17 I had that was in quite a bad condition. A friend of mine sent me a link to a thread from this forum (I was not a member then) about butchering saddles. I did like it was shown on the pics, and was quite happy with the result... Also it is one of my most confortable saddle! However, I have to say that Skully's work is way more subtle that what I had done: more cuttings, more complicated tracing, nice and smart details such as the lettering and the chain link, etc... I am really impressed!
I have other brooks saddles, but as they are in a very decent condition, I have not dare trying again...

Szia all! And I hope to see one of Skully's chopped saddles for real at some drinks or ride... Or maybe I'll bump into BRM round the X so I can see his superb brooks...

    Loic
