...although as good as the coffee was, the moment was nearly ruined by the American girl (they're always American aren't they?) in the queue behind me who was taking great delight in introducing her friend to Monmouth. She insisted on talking about the process of making coffee to her companion as if a) he was actually interested and b) she knew what she was talking about. When she eventually got served (a "cah-poo-chee-no" - in an italian accent) she started going on about the bread and jam they were selling. "Doesn't it all look marvellous? Their blackberry jam is to die for".
I know I've been pretty snobby in some of my posts in this thread, but some people are so pretentious I just want to tackle them to the floor and fart on their head.
