I know that punctures are standard fare but had the strangest situation last night
Was riding along nr Bank and noticed that my rear wheel was 'phumping' every few revolutions it slowly got worse and by the time I got to Old St (maybe 500 meters) it was pretty bad. Got off the bike, and inspected wheel and tyre was deflating. By the time I got home the tyre was empty
Now I know about slow leaks, snake bites & blowouts and had my fair share of these. But this was different. Any idea of what my have caused the puncture/leak
Things to note:
1 – had a few beers but not enough to have ridden 500m on a full flat
2 – only replace the tube the previous day
3 – ‘phumping’ = not sure how best to describe it, basically like riding over a bump in the road whilst on a smooth surface
