£300 is not that crazy, even I will say it's razonable

Simthing like....
hmmm....What the current day track frame is missing is a central pivot point........yes, tis all becoming clear, just one more hit on the pipe.......hmmmm...added flex and weight at the same time, perfect......I can see pink elephants.

look closely at the rear drop-outs. the seller just had a go at me on e-mail as wellseriously no competent frame builder put in drops that out of whack!

Why buy a 'fake' track bike

I can help here. I sold that Knight frame to the gent about a year ago. He was a top fella and a well seasoned racing cyclist. I got it from an old boy who'd had it since the 70's. I had it in it's original paint job and decals. I think I even got the details of the builder in the end - something about him now building wheels but not frames. It was a fairly sick orange and I had it resprayed by Vaz. These may look weird but they are the original drop outs. I'll put my name to that.

if you honestly think that a decent frame builder did that, then fine!

pink? i mean come on

I've since been told that Knight were a company that did large scale production - not just one bloke and blow torch. I can't comment on the skills of the builder but I do believe they are the original dropouts.
