nah, the fire came afterwards (apparently some knob left candles unattended and went to the pub............ not me.)
but regardless - we have electricity now and the excuse the engineers who were up till the wee hours trying to fix it gave us:
"when the lines were installed the energy companies didn't anticipate such high usage. they just overheated..."
