IO would always prefer a longer ride that a shorter one but 25th December is unique in how dead the centre of London is.

I'd be tempted to say we should do a 30-40ish mile route taking in some of the busiest parts of London just so we can enjoy how quiet they are.

For the record, this will not just be yet another ride around east London.

Options Kent Surrey Herts.? Sevenoaks, Dorking, Hertford.

Fred, Zone 1 and two are pretty much the plan. It's what I did last year.
I know there's the LCC, greenwich(sp?) ride but I'm thinking of something faster paced.

With there being no traffic on Christmas day, we can stop at every set of traffic lights just to be perverse (and have a nice rest)

I hate xmas.

Yeah!

I like xmas. It was always quality time with family. Kinda sucks being here for it.
But I hate the run-up to xmas.. shopping for gifts in particular.

I'm in provided I can make it up from Ox. sounds like more fun than going on solo ride which was my plan for day.
