When I tried to report the psycho bus driver to the police the other week I was told that a motor vehicle does not count as a weapon in the UK (unlike in the USA).
As such the driver in your case can probably be charged with leaving the scene of an accident, dangerous driving, driving without due care and attention etc.
When you report it to the police and get the cctv footage explain that you want them to take it as far as they can. If you go in demanding he be charged with attempted murder they probably wont be as helpful.
