Well done the Great British Public and Mr Hoy, but also the rest of the team, especially Nicole Cooke (she must win next year--no idea how, but hey, where there's a bike there's a way!).
Now let's hope for the Formula 1 effect--that the prestige of elite sport rubs off on cycling as a desirable everyday activity with a high status, and of course grassroots amateur sport.
