I thank you dmczone! Clearly i should have searched the full name...not just KHS frames!!

Same frame as Mercian Kilo.
Bikeisland (who don't sell outside the US) have a batch of this frame unbranded for $200.
At that price you can forgive it having a funny seatpost or whatever. They are WAY better than those south american made Sparton frames. -

I'm a big fan of KHS. Used to work on the predecessor to the Flite 100 (Aero Track - '99 model. A bit more agressive geometry). Was such a fun bike. I gave the frameset to a local bike co-op before moving here from Montrael. Oh the regrets I have :(

I think I might try to get hold of a one of these frames (as a Bikeisland unbranded frame preferably). It's spend it's life with mudguards and risers as a simple, winter town bike. It's got rack mounts!
I suppose horatio... you have contacts to get a frame sent over from Canada or the US?
Do you think it's worth me calling a bike shop in the US. Or even Cavendish Cycles here in the UK who regularly import IRO frames?

I have a few friends back home who have 'Mercier' Kilo TTs. The parts are crap, but the frame is ok. Double-butted Reynolds 520. And they now come in a wider variety of colours. I was thinking about buying one when I go home on holiday and bringing it back. They're dirt-cheap, and even moreso when you take currency conversion into account.

Bike Island only ships within the continental US - not Canada.

Cheapest I've found is frame & forks $200

Have used the search and only found the link on the foreign otp list....so anyone got any opinions on them....been offered a 80% complete one for R$1000 @ £280.It is brand new, just needs wheels, which i have.
