  • Hi I was wondering could you give me a rough price for this: http://img157.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=93463_DSCF0159_122_1154lo.jpg http://img215.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=93474_DSCF0160_122_177lo.jpg http://img180.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=93483_DSCF0161_122_116lo.jpg

I am looking to but it off a guy who has no idea of the price(apparently) and is looking for a fair price, so I thought I would put it up here for an evaluation.
    Thanks.

  • £20.

  • £20 - 30?
3 years ago he'd have to have paid you, but now...

  • Quality frame and parts, when new.

But everything is in need of major refurb or replacement.

The only thing you may be able to use right away is the crank.

    As AndyP said, £20

    Not worth the effort.

  • If you pay me £20 I might take it off you.

  • I will say £60 £70.
I think that for £20 I prefert to keep it. For the frame, forks, BB and headset you can get £40, for the crack, once clean, £15, and for the stem, bars and lever another £15. Even for the wheels someone could give you a tenner
    IMHO

  • So you think it would be worth it for the frame, forks, wheelset(some of) cranks, seatpost, stem and brakes(some of)?

  • no seat post, seat or calipers.

  • I just see in the big pic, the rear deraulier and the shiffters are Campag, easily onther £15

I will not sell that bike for leats that £75 if it were mine

  • no seat post, seat or callipers.

    Whaa??
Whats wrong with the seatpost? Seat might do for a little while and I would need those callipers for the long reach.

  • what are we speaking here, price for selling or what is worth for you? for you, that bike can be the perfect first fix bike, you just need a new back wheel and a chain, that's all. Strip, clean , grease and of you go.
Of course that the seatpost seat and caliper are OK, but no much worthy in ebay, if you see what i meant.

There are plenty of quality eBay bikes going for around £100

Before posting this thread, how much were you willing to pay for this bike?

  • If it really is a R. de Vlaeminck then it's quit rare because they are actually Colnago frames. The decal that is supposed to be on the seat tube saying Colnago is missing though.

We have a very nice example for sale in our shop at the moment but it's different then this model. Ours doesn't have any eyelets for mudguards.

Check if the letters RDV are engraved on the fork crown and the seatstays. If not, don't bother.

  • Sorry typo Rik, I meant to say I am thinking of buying this bike off some guy, he knows nothing about race bikes and would like a good price for the complete bike.
I already have one fixed gear conversion and was thinking of giving this a complete refurbishment(geared or not). I would get this as a project for a long time frame.
And Jos any chance of a picture or two to see what this should look like in all its glory.
I will check for the RDV also.
