Think about it, that injury would never happen from tight jeans in that scenario. That is from someone losing grip, falling and being caught by an incorrectly installed harness.
Think 1 strip of nylon resting under your sack suddenly bringing you to a halt after a fall, your whole body weight being applied to it plus the momentum of the fall. That is what burst the poor fellow's ball bag.
Either that or landing very fucking hard on a metal pole. I know someone who did something similar while slipping getting out of the bath.
Tight jeans wouldn't help, mind you.
