  • i can, and have previously, taken the machine apart, it's a pain in the ass though. This solution seems to be work well for now...

  • Might just be dusty (the fans and vents) _ Not sure how you would go about cleaning them though as I think its pretty tough to split those things apart.

    We have a compressor at work for blowing dust out of computer fans etc- pretty effective.
    Means you don't want to breath the air in the room that you do it in for a while until the dust settles.

    If you find yourself in the Waterloo area give me a shout and we can have a go?

    I hasn't happened yet today, I'm running pretty much the whole CS3 suite at once, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, and Eclipse (which is set to 1Gb of memory). All of them have massive documents open, as well as all the normal apps, Firefox eats ram too, and it's all ok, I have the fan set to 1000rpm which is the default I think.
