Posting in certain areas

I'd like to reply to a post in Manchester fixed but the system doesn't seem to want to let me. Any chance I could be added or whatever, I'm from Manchester if that matters.

Join the Manchester sub-forum.

Which you can do by going to the forum then clicking on the 'Forum Tools' link on the grey toolbar and selecting the 'Join this forum' option.

Hmm actually I can see no such option.

In the Manchester sub-forum clicking 'Forum Tools' produces a list of which none of the options are 'Join this forum' or similar. The closest is 'Subscribe to This Forum' but that isn't it.

'Click here to visit this social group' on the main subforums page then click the 'Join Group' option near the bottom.

Semi-related, but I use the 'Posts' link at the top-left of the page. Would be quite good not having the subforums I've not chosen to join shown in the results, e.g - threads in the Bristol, Manc, etc subforums.
