• Hope you are not too badly bruised, RICE is the best advice, and plenty of ibuprofen.

Shame about the bike, but glad you seem to be in one piece.

I hope I was not too bossy or officious, just wanted the driver to be fully aware he was not going to get away with it and to make sure you had the phone numbers for myself and the other witness. Must say she was great, she was on the phone before anyone else. A great reminder that the pedestrian public can be so supportive (and not just leaping out in front of me as is there general tendency on that road).

I ride down HSK everyday, and am constantly amazed at the chaos I witness there. I am sure that some of the people there feel they have a financial shield that enables them to ignore the rules of the road as they can buy legal rerpesentation instead.

James you were a rock! ;)

Thanks again mate, I was a bit of a mess to be honest.

I keep remembering lying on the road and the driver try to pick me up, me shouting "Don't touch me!!" It's an instant reaction for the driver to get you on your feet so they can make like nothing happened. Of course I then realized I was lying in the middle of two lanes of Westbound traffic... oops... probably a good idea to get up, as the honking started.

How dare I block traffic, really!
