Should I sell it? and if so how much for?

  • Hi.
Well since ive been riding fixed - albeit not for a very long time, ive begun to find it very irritating riding a bike that doesn't have a fixed wheel.
I just hate the "dead space" inbetween exchanging power between feet when pedaling when it seems you have no leverage... never noticed it before I rode fixed but ah well.
    anyway, enough of that.
I have a fairly well specced BMX I used to ride, i stepped onto it the other day and it felt like an effing clowns bike - the most rediculous thing ever to ride...
Im thinking of selling it, I know a few of you ride BMX, these days im so "out of touch" with the bmx world I know nowt of what theyre worth 2nd hand..
    here is the spec.
old federal frame with a not so good quality white respray (plenty of scratches)
hazard lite rear rim laced onto a hoffman cassette hub
shadow conspiracy 28t sprocket on primo powerbites (anodize has rubbed off, down to the metal)
    28-10 gearing
    odyssey fork
    fly bike malaga stem
    inertia badger bars
fron proper wheel (green proper hub, green proper rim, white spokes)
    shitty seatpost
    shadow conspiracy saddle
    oddyses evolver brake
    pink headset (yay)

    here are a few pictures..
(oh and ignore the ripped grips, its got new ones now)

So yeah.. any ideas as to how much this could fetch?
Its worth a fair bit if you add up all the parts.. but its in pretty "used" condition being a BMX and all.
I was thinking 200-300? im not sure though.
    cheers.

  • 2-300 is about right for a second hand BMX, they never hold their value unfortunately.

  • oooh left hand drive!

not very likely, but if you'd be willing to wait a few months i'll most def have it off you for ≈2-300...

  • Im not really into the idea of selling in a few months.. I wouldn't mind shifting it soonish.
HOWEVER - If I do indeed still have it by then, Hassan, I shall inform you.

  • didn't think so, but thought it was worth an ask :)

just don't have the time/money for bmx at the moment

  • It'll sell for more in the summer.

  • This is the best time of year to BMX.

  • Depends what type. It's the worst for me as i ride trails. I used to spend all winter digging and one week in the summer riding!!!!!!

  • I haven't ridden for about 2 months now. The trails are coming along nicely though.

Sorry Blankface, but I think you will strugle to get £200. If you split the parts you will get more.
