How Much Money have you spent on BIkes in 2008?

Anybody else find themselves saying this to their 'better halfs'

"what this old thing? its an old hub I've had sitting around the toolshed for ages"

She nevers questions it, and I never question her, when she amazingly discovers that she had a unworn pair of shoes "sitting around the back of the wardrobe for ages".

"These are only small things. like accesories. Buying parts is cheaper"

"all these parts are about the cost of one of your bags"

I always finish it with the "this keeps me fit and saves me money on public transport. as for yours......"
