Welcome farmboy ! Classy bikes , i do actually remember seeing you . Roadworks on that corner are an interesting change from the suicide cycle lane that leaves you in the path of a turning bus . Thursday nights are still going strong, though drinking is becoming more popular than cycling .

I saw some dude on a fixed wheeler with pink deep vs last Monday afternoon, turning left just before you get to John Lewis (heading into town)
Also a white conversion locked up down purbeck road (side road of hills road college) which i see every day.... If you read this say hi -

Very nice, looks sexy, but get those pedals changed before you kill yourself
-

If you're new to fixed gears might be worth slapping a front brake on there before running nobrake™. Hate to see you smash up your sweet ride!
-
• #60
You could bolt some nylon webbing straps onto your BMX pedals, a la Mousieur SuperTed

i saw some kid flying up and down king street today on a rather nice white level frame with risers, he was also rocking a sag bag any one know him or is he on here?
-
• #66
SAG bags...are soooo trendy! Maybe that's why I have one :)
Two more weeks and I am back in Cambridge for Rollapalooza! Hopefully the weather is good I want to get a Sunday ride (maybe London???) in before I leave on Monday to return to Kosovo.
-
• #67
Hi Aaron! How long will you be down for? We could check out the new shop in London fields too . Most probably the weather will be shit , i'm suffering from everything at the moment :(
-
• #68
I will be in town from 14 Jan (weds) until 19 Jan (mon). I fly back that monday...ugh!
But I want to get a nice ride in before I roll back here to Kosovo. This place is COLD!!
It sucks when you cannot ride your bike....or drink with friends and talk about riding! Ha! -
• #69
The boredom here had my purchasing shit on the bay...ugh! Spent more money on track bike stuff! This shit is worse than crack!
-
• #70
E-bay has got so pricey too ! Did you see the pump up campag seat like Angelos go for nearly 200 Quid ? Can't you persuade the military to let you start a Fixed wheel corp ? Chase down terrorists in an urban environment, dispatch with minimum fuss and in a carbon neutral way.
-
• #71
Yeah...crazy shit! There are still some deals out there...but you have to really be vigilent.
I really only buy stuff from that casanova dealer in belgium. Everyone else is on crack with their starting prices. The real important things are to ride your bike and have fun. The cheap shit always breaks quickly...and then you buy better products. -

saw one of these in locked outside long road (college) today. Whose is it, own up! :)

Am new to the group, but not to fixed. My pompino with goldtechs, normally has a dynamo hub too for riding through the winter):
and
an XACD road frame with an ENO hub. Much twitcher, lighter and faster and normally only let out in the summer.
might see you all one thursday night, work depending.
