I posted a complete bike last year for £20 with Parcelforce. A frame is usually somewhere between £15-£18. There is a maximum package size they'll accept, details are somewhere on the Parcelforce website.

£15 for 24 Hour Guaranteed Delivery
Package must weigh less than 30kg and be shorter than 150cm
Pickup is included in the price you pay online.
And since they use Parcel Force you can still just drop it off at any Post Office and avoid the holiday queues.

Your LBS will give you a box if you ask nicely (and buy inner tubes regularly).

Im thinking of selling my guitar and would have to post it, heavy electric in hard (but not flight) case.
I dont want to use parcelforce as they have fucked up everytime I have used them plus they make it impossible to claim any insurance.
Anyone got any other suggestions and rough idea of costs?
Thanks.
I am about to stick a mountain bike frame on ebay that I had sat in the garage for the past couple of months.
Because I am a bit of a numpty to ebay and posting frames, I am completely clueless on the best way to post it and how much (approximately) it would cost to post it.
Does anyone know?
