The beauty of it was: the bike had no tyres (I knew this). I got it into my head that there would be a bike shop in Uxbridge where I could get some (wrong). So I had to carry the bike about a mile and a half back to Uxbridge station in the pissing rain, get on the overground to Finchley Rd, carry the bike to the Cycle Surgery in West Hampstead (still raining), buy tyres and tubes (not the ones I'm selling it with), fit them, then cycle to SE1 (in rain) with brakes not working properly and headset coming loose on a bike that's too big for me.
