Hi Tom ,that would be great, the more the better . What has happened to your bottom bracket ?

Did we come any further in finding a suitable court? What about one of the car parks? The roof of the Grafton might be suitable if they have lights up there are walls and no posts or curbs (From memory) Not sure if there is lighting but I would have thought so. We could potentially do it on one of the normal floors and have some shelter. Don't think the walls would be as good though.

A representative from Long road college said we could possibly use their tennis courts which are floodlit and fenced in
-
• #31
Hills definitely wouldn't allow polo on their courts.
-
• #32

That's a brilliant bit of research, i like the look of the one in Arbury . 8th one down ?
-
• #37
yeah, it's probably the best as it has raised sides but it gets a lot of use, especially at weekends.
-
• #38
remembered a couple more, the top one is fenced in a reasonably central..
-
• #39
Coleridge road one is probably underused , but no lighting which will not be a problem in the summer tho .

Long Road College has a great place for polo. They have two fenced areas that each space three tennis courts and one smaller that has two. All fenced and with super great surface, not sure they have lights though.
You can bust that place on a sunny weekend no problem.

quickly made mine today (havent done the handle yet) from some scaffolding in the garage.
not sure about the measurements though... The pole seems slightly short (77cm) and the length of the tube is like 11.5cm
How big are the ones you made Harvey?
Oh, and my tube on the end there is aluminium, feels very nice and sturdy and light. If you want ive got a long piece left which will make like another 4 mallets. They are however only 3cm in diameter so quite narrow. -

Looks lethal ! I'm getting some more blue water pipe off Will if you want some let me know . We're gonna be turning some end caps from some solid poly rod too , when i get round to it.
-
• #44
it aint lethal, its actually very very soft aluminium so wont do more harm than a piece of plastic
