Surprised the bike he chooses to ride is a plain beater with weird additions like adjustable nitto & gran compe tyre.

I'm not surprise to be honest, why wear your own clothes that you got made cheaply in China and sold for a shitload of money here?

plus, despite the wacky paintjob he did, he still have some taste by choosing his nameless bike over the Merican.

Re Paul Smiths bike...The same rear Gran Compe rear tyre lasted me about 2 days skidding & it's not cheap to replace either. Super soft shitty rubber compound is the word

That was just a particular style of BMX lever though. They had more traditional BMX levers, even in the 80s.

Its funny that BMX is going back to this style though (for those who use brakes).

I really like the colour scheme on that green bike, it screams "MEAN GREEN MACHINE".

DFP: I think mercian just used Paul Smith's name - i doubt very much whether he really had that much input into its design or construction, as his actual bike demonstrates quite nicely.
