To me, some of these are as sexy as fukree.
Especially the BURLS Titanium, with its sexy curvy seat stays, and the DOLANs.
Burls Ti isn't made in the UK.

The rest of his frames are though.

Surely Witcomb have to be added?
They're still making great frames though prices recently went slightly up :-/
Quality builds with a rich history which includes Richard Sachs. -

Quality builds with a rich history which includes Richard Sachs.I like Witcombs, & think the shop looks quite smart now, but I think the majority of their business is putting track ends on road frames for trade business at the moment.
Interesting to hear them featured on Robert Elms the other week. No prizes for guessing who featured heavily.

Not any frames or bikes advertised as being solely track, fixed or single-speed. Of course they can make them, but for the purposes of trackie, fixie, or singie (???) buyers, it helps if they advertise directly to these buyers. Or it looks like we are a second thought to them, whereas shops in-the-know are even creating whole sections for us. Up to them.

I thought I'd drag this from an answer I gave in another thread. Basically, I was making a list of British frame builders, and realised that they're not just world class, but some are just downright exoticabiciclettasexia.
You can almost hear the BBC Proms.....

Unbelievably, I've only just added Mercian, Hetchins, Wilson, and Rotrax.
Omitting Mercian and Hetchins is pretty bad. Apologies.

Two more that definitely need including are George Longstaff Cycles - http://www.longstaffcycles.com/ and Dave Yates - http://www.daveyatescycles.co.uk/ who still build steel frames.
They are the two builders I would go to if I wanted a steel frame built...

I've got a made to measure road frame built for me by Ellis Briggs. Nice frame, still going strong after about 25 years.
Whippet spunk lacks viscosity, yer daft apeth.
