Flu is not a bad cold.
If you had flu you would be in bed, unable to move, feverish, liquid coming out of both ends (at the same time) and aching. Sorry to jump in there two-footed, but it does annoy me when people moan about having flu and it's just a bit of a bunged up head cold.
I had flu at the start of this year - I was shivering when the heating was on full, and I was wearing all the bedclothes I could find but was still cold. I also lost over a stone and was in bed for a week.
