i broke up at least 2 fights on the September mass, not fun. also the idiots stopped for pedestrians at every crossing so drivers rightfully got pissed when it took about 4 hours to make it down the street.

I was at the sept one too, saw a taxi get sidi'd and a motorcyclist get chased down, but not what caused either thing. I also saw a load of ninja police dragging cyclists off the road... But I think the vast majority did not take part in anything except a plesant cycle ride through london.

Well that was a jolly evening out. Good to see Oliver and meet Purple Tom, Eyebrows and Cookie.

Yes, tonight was a lovely, friendly atmosphere, small turnout, no police. I didn't see a single confrontation, just smiles when corking. CM sometimes works in this way.

September was huge and the first time the police had been absent for a very long time. That confused people but now, three rides in, they've learned how to self-regulate the Mass again and it works well.

@Chris Crash: Stopping for pedestrians is a good old CM tradition. It actually doesn't cause very long delays at all, the only problem is when pedestrians don't dare cross and there's a politeness stand-off. I have more of a problem with long stops at something like Downing Street, which CM did a lot for a while--really boring.

Oh, and besides being a general hero, Des was riding around in shorts and sandals ... brrr ...

totally agree with oliver, sorry i didn't meet you. thought parli sq was really boring, NSY as well. was better when we got moving again, fun around center of town. i posted more in the other thread too.

ps, also, most violence i ever saw was in new york - and that was all police. if you don't believe me, go look up "still we ride" (it's a movie about the whole thing and really awesome).
