I'm just that offended at the thought of people feeling the need to cut down a tree to make a bike when it isn't going to be better... it's like buying a Toyota Prius...it isn't actually environmentally friendly...it just pretends it is...

Bamboo grows back super quick and there's loads of the stuff. A lot less damaging to the planet than creating steel tubes.

I wouldn't worry about them using a bit of a bamboo bush to make a bike - some species can grow a couple of feet a day - it's a fairly easily renewable resource and one that should be used more
