How to play bike polo?

I remember reading a rule somewhere that a player attempting to score has to call it, then gets to ride down the centre line to strike while no-one else is allowed to tackle.

That confused me and led me to believe that polo was a complicated game that needed explaining.

shhhh! the management will try and impose that rule.
