The bikely route looks great. A couple of quick questions: Is there a cue sheet with the whole route together? I found one for the second half of the ride, but couldn't find the first part.

No, I don't think there is one. I suppose it's probably because people know London, and quite frankly in London a route sheet isn't that much use!
Can you recommend a decent map of the area? With more than just motorways & A roads listed?
The standard map format in the UK is Ordnance Survey mapping. You probably want some Landrangers:

Two or three will cover London to Brighton. Good and detailed.
Visit Stanford's in Long Acre in Covent Garden when you get to London to buy maps.
