My sister-in-law has this really nice road bike which is just that little bit too big for her. She has an emotional attachment to it so really doesn't want to get a new frame. I thought that a really, really short stem could help her to get more comfortable on the bike and I was looking for one where the handlebars practically sit on top of the stem rather than "around the bend" - or at least really close.
Does a stem like this exist? I found this on ebay, but I think that it is too long and would stick out too much. Does anyone know of a make that does these ones, just not so high?
Or would it be possible to cut the stem down and still get the quill in?
