I don't understand the lack of respect from the rest of the world regarding the GB team..
all this "what are we doing wrong? we can't let *Britain *beat us, sack the coaches, retire the riders.."
maybe we're just better at the moment.
might be a bitter pill for the aussies, dutch and french to swallow. but swallow it they will have to if they want to stand a chance against us. It's not about what they are doing wrong, it's about what we are doing right, and how they should copy and maybe improve on it.
Like you said, it's cyclic isn't it? GB is better at the moment and it must be a bitter pill to swallow for the other teams - what have they been doing since Athens?? The AIS must be kicking themselves. It's Au tax dollars that are not working so they'll be answering some tough questions.
If they're not getting results, they're out. Isn't that the new GB system? More dosh for the winners, less/none for the losers? Possibly oversimplified but I'm not into all the crap behind the scenes, I just want green and gold on podiums :)

"The result triggered massive change in both riding and coaching ranks, headed by the retirement of gold medallists Bradley McGee and uncertainty over the future of dual Athens champion Ryan Bayley."
