How to answer the question, "where's yer brakes?"

Even when I still had a fixed gear I'd slow myself with my front brake first before I locked my legs up.

That is the opposite of what comes naturally to me. I'm one of those riders who avoids the front until it's a last resort.

Thinking about it... I'm crashing more than when I was brakeless!
