Also, you're assuming the bus actually pulls "in". Some don't move over at all, indicate and wait out a bit for another bus in front to pull away, so that gap you're counting on never appears.
Anyway, I know what you mean, I do it all the time.. I basically wanted to point this out since I watch shitloads of muppets snap around the back of buses, etc without giving a thought to what's coming up behind them.. me in these cases.
