  • Last night, these bands (on CD no less!):

    Sunshine
    You and I
    The Assistant
    Unit Pride
    Sense Field
    Econochrist
    Swing Kids

    Any people with similar tastes?

    nope.

  • hey vic,
    i have similar (ish) tastes!
although i only really like swing kids from your list.
and i reckon that from three one g the following were better bands:
    crimson curse
    the festival of dead deer
    black cat #13

and all of these were better by the british band wolves of greece.

  • Crimson Curse indeed... I have that square 7" they did, was that a split with FODD?. Unbroken were actually my favourite three one g band (hardcore/youth crew=first love), but I don't have any of their records :(

Wolves of Greece woop! - the dude from Nottingham's Selectadisc was in them I believe? I never saw them though. What about The Swarm? Indian Summer? Saetia? Yapphet Kotto? Heroin?

  • Listening to

    Optimo's Sleepwalk mix
    Flying Lotus' Essential Mix
    The Chap - Mega Breakfast
Prins Thomas - Cosmo Galactic Prism
Baldelli & Dionigi - Cosmic Disco Cosmic Rock
DJ Target - Aim High Vol 2

  • YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

Killers is making my skull explode (again).

  • yeah the square 7" was the FODD split.
i had the pleasure of putting wolves of greece on a few times in leeds and was in selectadisc reccently hope i didnt blank one of them from a lack of memory.
whilst i have a soft spot for indian summer and yaphet kotto i prefer stuff like 400 years, sleepytime trio, red scare, monorchid, etc.
fucking invincible at 1am is surely the best swarm track, a workplace favourite.
the only reason i like unbroken is because of a friends brilliantly comedic throat piece unbroken tattoo

  • "the only reason i like unbroken is because of a friends brilliantly comedic throat piece unbroken tattoo"

    good enough reason. :D

  • pretty much.
i'll never take them, or him, seriously because of it.
