Army surplus store

Any tips on the best and cheapest Army surplus store in London?

Well for years and years it was Lawrence Corner (corner of Drummond St and Hampstead Road), just near Warren Street/Euston Square, but I'm not even sure if its still there any more, it's been on the wane for a while. Anyone know?

if your after camping gear and the basics (not 'fashion' stuff) there is a good one on the cut, the place is tiny but packed with cheap goodies.

I work around the corner from the one Chris mentions on The Cut. The fella who runs the place is very helpful and they can order in stuff if they don't have what you want.

Is that the one opposite the Old Vic? If so then I'd agree it's worth a look

If its clothes, there's a really old guy that runs a shop on Walworth Road, across the street from the MuckyDees, and not far from the library. The shop truly stinks, and is badly lit, but its a one-man operation I believe, and the stuff he sells is of truly excellent quality.

God is that place still there? I used to love that shop when I was a kid.. brilliant.

There's a huge place in morden for those in the south, where I used to get my steal toe caps when I didn't work in an office! Guy is plesant although with an element of cabbie-esque/daily mail type bigotry...

there's a half decent shop in chapel market, islington but sadly lawrence corner closed a couple of years ago.

I have loads of uniform and other bits and pieces. Cheap prices if that's what you're looking for.

There's one just at the beginning of kentish town road, quite small, but cheap.
Its a 30 second walk from chamberlain cycles.
