Thank you - it is a wrench to see either go. The Holdsworth could also come with the orginal Campag mechs and band-on levers, and a 126 oln record rear hub if anyone has the inclination...

Are you this much of a twat in real life Kingcutter, or is it just an internet persona you've adopted?

will, i think you have to keep the Ron Cooper - very nice indeed.
the others look too nice to let go of too.
i haven't seen the pictures of the wife and kids so can't really make a fully informed decision ;)

I really like how discreetly kitted out the top two are, very entising.

I think it is time for an update. I have had one firm offer -: "I'll give you £200 for either the Ron Cooper or the Holdsworth"; a number of people interested in the Holdsworth; and two people interested in the Raleigh.
I'm surprised by the lack of interest in the Cooper, but them there's no accounting for taste (tho' I appreciate the comments on the thread).
FWIW I will not be selling any of them for £200.
Will be making a decision by the end of the week, so if the interest is real, make me an offer. Otherwise it's Plan B.

With the exception of the frame size that Holdsworth fits the bill perfectly for my girlfriends christmas present.
They're all lovely bikes.

Be careful about gf's and bikes, esp. if you are thinking gf may become wife one day. I mean it.
Mrs S has decreed that one of my bikes has to go - apparently 5 is too many - she probably has a point, as the cellar is pretty crowded, what with my 5, her two plus the kids bikes....
I don't really want to get rid of any of them, as I love them all. However, if any of you promise to love and cherish AND ride them, one of the following could be for sale if the price is right.
They are all 58 c-c, 60 c-t. The Ron Cooper and the Holdsworth have 57 c-c top tubes, the Raleigh has a 58 c-c top tube. I am 6ft if that helps.
Currently set up as single speed with campag record chainset (strada), marching NOS Record bottom bracket, Record hubs on open pro rims. Original paintwork in extraordinarily good condition. This is an awesome frame - bike is much lighter than the Holdsworth and is exceptionally well balanced and responsive to ride.
Another awesome frame with original paintwork. Has a ding in the top tube where the kids pulled the bike over and it landed on one of their scooters... Has a Phil hub (fixed, free) with 126oln on a MA3 rim. Front is an Ultegra hub on Open Pro.
Not sure if the paint on this is original or not - it is in excellent condition, although there are a number of small scratches on the stays and the sti's. It has a bracket on the top tube for a race number, and I believe that it was originally custom built for a pro. I have built it up with a mix of Dura Ace (calipers, bottom bracket) and 105 (Stis, rear mech, front mech and chainset). It currently has Open Pros on an Ultegra hub (front) and 105 hub (rear).
I'd much rather see someone from the forum take one than trust to pot luck on the Bay. If anyone is interested, pm me.
Willo
