I haven't bought DMR's but as the DMR's are pretty much straight wouldn't the slackening of headangle by the longer fork be counteracted by the lack of rake/trail/lead whatever you call it? Ie although the angle of the headtube would be slacker the relative positions of handlebars and hub would be about the same.
