Maybe more to do with quality of wheel build than quality of the hub? My Goldtec/CXP33 is still true after 5 years of riding and never being touched with a spoke key so BETD's wheel build quality is definitely alright.
I expect the Goldtecs will be a bit stonger than the Gran Compes but unless you're a serious fixed gear freestyler than either will be strong enough to take a lot of abuse. I'd decide based on looks and chainline.
