I felt really sorry for Cav after reading it... True that Team GB got all the plaudits after Beijing and his TdF success was pretty much forgotten... He's gonna be so successful tho', I'm sure his future achievements on the road'll eclipse anything he could've done on the track...
Arguably he's already achieved more on the road this past season than he could ever achieve on the track, i.e. 4 x Tour stage wins, 2 x Giro stage wins. In economic terms those are worth much, much more than a track world championship (of which he's won 2 I think).
